Todd has worn many hats in film and television production. As a puppeteer he is featured on both Men in Black movies and was nominated for an Emmy for D.C. Follies. He produced and wrote the Dream Big home video series for Sid and Marty Krofft, and traveled to Cuba to direct the documentary Voices of Cuba.
Todd’s writing technique draws from two diametrically opposed influences: improvisational comedy training with The Second City and the classical structuralism from Robert McKee. His credits include: D.C. Follies, Fox Club House, The Littlest Pet Shop (animated), and many stage productions.
In the last two years Todd added editing with Final Cut Pro to his bag of tricks.
As a public school teacher Todd Mattox specializes in children’s literacy and educational technology. Todd credentialed to teach multiple subject elementary, single subject English K-12, single subject educational technology, and Gifted and Talented Education.
His students’ videos are highly recognized including 2009 iVIE Award for Doccumentary and twice winning the national Apple Computer/NSBA PSA Contest.
Todd was nominated for California League of Middle Schools Teacher of the Year.
